Bob Bauer's Mini Photographic Biography
(Golly......!)
Bob is a full time professional freelance photographer and Photographic Artist.
He still CAN shoot in all film formats from 35mm to 8x10, but doesn't anymore. He has found that digital cameras have
changed the world of photography forever and there is no looking back. There isn't a single thing that can't be done better
with digital tools than the limited and flawed chemical optical processes of the past in Bob's opinion.
Over time he has shot all sorts of stuff, from fine art to editorial as well as a ton of corporate and
industrial assignments... from nature landscapes to lifestyle, people and fashion, from still life products and catalogues to Abstract
Landscapes.
Lately, he especially loves shooting Junkyard and Nature Abstracts using fine detail. His primary direction these days involves his fine art abstracts,
which others have described as "Stiking and Beautiful" and "...similar to Abstract Expressionist paintings."
Bob now finds himself swept up in the digital wave, shifting away from the studio and into the field. Away from the darkroom
and into the computer lifestyle.
Bob's spacious Salt Lake City studio is in a building that used to be an old neighborhood corner
drug store on a half acre lot. It includes a large garden. He both lives and works there. The art-deco entrance and 21
seat lunch counter are still intact. Bob thinks loft living is the only way to go. City livin' with a big garden and
good wilderness access right in the center of the scenic Western U.S.A. Aaaaaaahh.....
